How many amps will this 1\0 cable withstand? Let's say I wanna run 225 amps from a Hobart champion 225 gas rig and I'm gonna have my leads at 50 foot for each for the electrode and the work a total of 100 feet how long could I weld at 225 amps without damaging the leads

Answer:Based on the information that was provided the Anchor 1/0 Welding Cable - 250 ft. Reel would be rated at approximately a 75% to 80% duty cycle. This would mean that you would be able to weld at 225 amps continually for about 7 to 8 minutes before the cable began to over heat.

I don't see any cable where you can buy the length you want. Everything is already precut. I plan to buy the miller bobcat 250 and would like to get the $500 rebate. Will this (Anchor cable) count towards the rebate. It says any Miller or Hobart product.

Answer:You can purchase the Anchor 1/0 Welding Cable by the foot.. You will have to call us at 800-245-9353 to get pricing.. The Anchor cable products do not qualify for the Miller rebate program it is not a Miller or Hobart product..
