The BT50 glove is a TIG welding glove and is not intended for high heat use. It will not protect you at 900 degrees.

    Comfortable And Durable
    July 25, 2012
It's hard for me to find gloves that fit my relatively small hands, but these ones fit the bill. They're comfortable, fit nicely, offer good protection, and I'm able to maintain the dexterity I need. Some of the seams are a little sketchy, but none have given out.
    ProsComfortable Good Protection Good dexterity
    ConsSome Sketchy Seams

This gloves are the best gloves that I have tried for TIG welding.
ProsThe extra padding on the side to help to insulate your hand from the heat of the metal. It really fits like a glove.

    Little Pricy, But Good Gloves
    July 16, 2012
Picked these up about 2 months ago with one of the BSX jackets. So far being used for mostly TIG, light metal working, and a little bit of MIG and they seem to be holding up pretty well. The leather is still solid, no loose threads falling off, or velcro coming apart. The heat shielding is alright, but expect things to get toasty with prolonged Al TIG above 140A. The gloves themselves are really comfortable with a surprisingly good fit just going by the chart. Great dexterity. I don't think about fumbling torch pieces or small components when wearing these. Good feel for the filler as well on TIG.
ProsComfortable Dexterity Good Fit Durable (For TIG/Light Metalworking and Light MIG)
Cons-Heat shielding can be a bit lacking at higher amps (sort of expected on Al though) -Little Pricy

    BSX TIG gloves
    June 15, 2012
Decent gloves, comfortable and fit true to size. Most of the BSX products seem to be fair in pricing and a good deal, but I feel these gloves are slightly over priced (market pricing) vs. the durability. Hobby and home TIG welders and students who are not clocking 12hr shifts should get a good run out of them as long as they do not use them as dual duty work gloves aswell as restricting them to TIG only (they offer very minimal heat protection). The material is easily nicked by sharp edges, grinder wheels etc.
    ProsFit well,good tactile feel.
Conswould like a slightly more heavy duty version with more heat insulation.

    Great Item
    May 27, 2012
The gloves fit well and are flexible enough to use most items in the shop. They require a bit more adjust when getting on/off the competitors. Heat protection is good but I think a compromised for flexibility to much.
Pros- good fit - easy to use tools
Cons- needs more heat shielding around finger/thumb - unnecessary snap on back area
