Great Welder, Great Price
April 14, 2016
After welding with smaller welders with numerous failed welds and just ugly beads, I was fed up. The Ironman 230 is at a reasonable price point and is a solid product. I'm a novice welder and the Ironman was helping me lay down beautiful beads with great penetration right from the get-go. No failures, even when I didn't do as well as I could have. Initially, I was hesitant to fork over the money, but I'm very happy that I did. The settings chart has been spot-on so far and the welder is very easy to set up. I also like that the welder can handle 2, 10, & 33 lb. spools.
There are a couple of dislikes, which are that the voltage adjustment is stepped and that the trigger is touchy and I found myself depressing it accidentally with gloves on.
Cyberweld's service and shipping couldn't be better. The welder was shipped direct for free from Hobart with liftgate service included. What a relief not to have additional costs tacked onto the price. Overall, I'm very happy and will happily purchase another Hobart machine and continue to do business with Cyberweld.
