Jackson Welding Helmet - Black Pro Variable Auto Darkening Lens 14988

The Jackson Shadow Black HSL 100 welding helmet with EQC Pro Variable auto-darkening lens has a narrow shell design that is perfect for work in tight spaces. The Shadow helmet’s extended front increases throat protection against sparks, slag, and fumes. Plus the Shadow helmet can stand up to radiant heat of 350°F, a minimum 50% improvement over most other thermoplastic shells.

    Received as a gift before starting a welding certification course. This hood and lens is light, comfortable and can take a licking. It's performance is on par with much more expensive hoods, and it has never let me down at work. Sensitivity and shade is adjustable, and simple to change on lens body. Lens body can be removed when you paint or customize your hood.
    Pros:
    Light, comfortable headband, great lens, great performance.
    Cons:
    Near perfect!

    This welding hood does not have a built-in magnifing lense holder. Do you sell the Jackson add-on magnifing lense holder?

    Answer:
    For the Jackson Pro Variable Welding Helmet, Jackson recommends replacing the inside cover plate with a Jackson mag lens. The mag lens MUST be Jackson, as other brands are too thick to fit into the lens holder. Cyberweld does not currently stock Jackson magnifying lenses but they can be special ordered by calling (800) 245-9353.
