What shade would a blacksmith use at the forge? If he was to buy a jackson H500 series, hand held shield.

Answer:
We would recommend not going any lighter than shade 5 when using the Jackson H500 in a blacksmith operation. A shade 8 lens may be more appropriate if you are dealing with large amounts of molten metal.
