A different view but a good view

I am currently in school working towards a welding degree. I have a chance to try different student helmets all the time. I own a older speed glass helmet and my friiend just bought a new speed glass helmet. I got flashed a couple times and got mad. I talked to my friend who also has a speed glass helmet and he said it happened to him also. My instructor has a Jackson -next gen and so I decided to upgrade but after reading a couple of reviews I decided on the true sight. What a difference in clarity, it was going from standard to HD Tv. I love this view. It is not typical view and the you decide added features like most helmets. I had view clarity on my to list and it is all that. I TIG welding has improved greatly on day one of using the helmet and have not bean flashed since. I am very happy with my Jackson True 60 helmet.
Pros:Clarity of weld puddle Savings of $100 compare to store Easy of use to switch modes Four censors so I don't get flashed, low amp TIGCons:Took almost 7 days for shipping to MN Head gear loosens so frequent adjustment |

I have owned this helmet for almost 2 years now and I can say it is my favorite helmet and has attracted a lot of attention from other employees. Many of them buy Miller because everyone else does. I chose not to get a Miller and am glad I purchased this helmet instead.
Pros:Nice large viewing area, lightweight, easy to clean, good airflow, and ability to quickly switch from grind, torch, or weld mode. Amber lens instead of the standard ugly green lens. Uses cheaper AAA batteries instead of a watch-style battery.Cons:#1 Replacement lenses are a bit on the pricey side. #2 Batteries last about 3 months. #3 Initial cost of the helmet. |

My first auto hood, and I love it. Well balanced, light, works like a charm, saves time and no more sore neck. just remember to switch back to weld mode after grinding. :)
