What is the run time when using the generator with this unit? Since it is running at lower rpm I assume it is more efficient than the trailblazer?
We spoke to Miller regarding your questions about the Miller Big Blue 400 Pro Diesel Welder 907606 and fuel consumption / run time.These are a difficult questions to answer without more specific information.The information Miller provided is based on running the unit as a generator drawing 5000 watts of auxiliary power.. The Big Blue would have a running time of approx 8.5 hours before running out of fuel. At this rate it would be using approx 1.25 gallons per hour. We also discussed the Miller Trailblazer 325 Diesel Welder 907566001. At the same load (5000 watts) the Trailblazer would have a running time of approx 15 hours. using approx .8 gallons per hour. If the trailblazer is running in the Excel power mode (up to 2400 watts) The running time would be approx 24 hours using approx .5 gallons per hour.
