Suits me well.

First let me say i normally only MIG weld in these. I have not used them with overhead stick, or anything that can really take a toll on your PPE.
That being said, i was as stubborn as they come. I almost always fabricated in a sweatshirt, gloves, and welding hood. Hated big bulky protective clothing getting in my way, and making me sweat in the summer. I do a lot of in position welding, however this is all "in the field" type welding. Not in a fab shop environment for the most part. I do do some overhead welding on the bottoms of trucks, or to make repairs in places that i just simply have to crawl under. I eventually obtained a collection of sweatshirts with the sleeves basically burnt off after awhile. I would say i lay on average, 20-100ft of welds a day.
This cape is light weight, and so far has managed not to catch on fire. That is all i was expecting, and for that purpose it has served well. I went an entire week without burning my arms, or burning any holes in the sleeves of the cape for that matter. I wear it while torch cutting, grinding, and welding. I wore it crawling under trucks, and while laying on the ground cutting and welding. It has not ripped or torn yet. Only used it for a week, but for 18 dollars, if it only lasts 3-6 months. Still worth the money in my opinion.
