NEW! Complete wireless foot control, water-cooled TIG welding package — One stock number provides all the necessary items required for a water-cooled Dynasty® 200 DX TIG welding system with Miller's new wireless remote foot control.

Maximum flexibility - Miller Electric combines advanced inverter technology with Auto-Line™ technology, offering the most flexible AC/DC TIG/Stick power supply in the welding industry. The Dynasty® 200 DX combines size, weight and Autoline automatic input voltage sensing with world class arc performance.

The Miller Dynasty® 200 DX TIG welder provides pulsed TIG welding along with the basic features that are required for most AC/DC TIG or STICK welding applications.

    Features

  • DX - When the job demands greater control the DX provides pulse on/off, pulse frequency, peak % time, background amperage, initial amperage, initial slope time, final slope time and final amperage control.

    AC TIG Features
  • Blue Lightning™ - High Frequency Arc Starter for non-contact arc initiation. More consistent arc starts compared to traditional HF arc starters. Greater reliability and no maintenace on solid state components. Preset parameters for tungsten sizes from .020 - 1/8 inch provide optimized starting for applications from thick to micro thin material. For unique applications, custom settings are programmable.
  • Extended AC Balance (30-99%) controls the amount of oxide cleaning (amperage time in EN) which is essential for high quality welds on aluminum.
  • AC frequency (20-250 hz)controls the width of the arc cone and the force of the arc.

    Stick Features (AC/DC)
  • Tailored arc control (DIG) allows the arc characteristics to be changed for specific appications and electrodes. Smooth running 7018 or stiffer, more penetrating 6010.
  • Hot Start™ adaptive control provides positive arc starts without sticking.
  • AC frequency control adds additional stability when Stick welding in AC for smoother welds.
  • Low OCV Stick is a simple design that reduces open-circuit voltage to 5-10 VDC when power source is not in use. This built-in circuit design eliminates the need for add-on voltage reducers.

    I am planning on purchasing the Miller Dynasty 200DX for a new faculty memeber here at University of Wiconsin, Stevens Point and I have a few questions. 1) Does this unit require any additional hardware or equipment, i.e. ventilation system, 220 power outlet, etc? 2) what is the shipping cost to Stevens Point, WI 54481, and 3) Do you have any education discounts?

    Answer:
    The only item you would need to add to the Dynasty 200 DX package would be input power cable. This machine will run on single phase or 3 phase power. Your electrician would have to decide which service you have and which power cable/receptacle would be best for you.

    Ventilation requirements will depend on your application. The welder must always be protected agains fume either by a personal respirator or an external fume extraction system. Only an industrial hygenist can determine the Personal Exposure Limits in your work area and the appropriate respiratory solution.
