Answer:The Miller Dynasty 280 and the Miller Dynasty 280DX are very similar however the DX model has enhanced features for aluminum tig welding. The Dynasty 280 has variable AC frequency control from 70hz to 150hz. The DX model has variable AC frequency control from 20hz to 400hz.. The AC balance control on the standard Dynasty 280 Model is adjustable from 60 to 80% negative electrode. The DX model has an AC balance control that is adjustable from 50 to 99% negative electrode. The standard model has only a soft squarewave AC wave form. The DX model has advanced squarewave, soft squarewave, sine wave and triangular wave AC wave form capability.
