The difference between Miller Heavy Duty Metalworker Gloves 251069 and the 251070 is the size.. The 251069 is a medium and the 251070 is a large

    Nice, at first..
    December 3, 2015
Worked well for about a week, then the leather-less spots on the back of the fingers started getting singed/torn and the gloves are now pretty much useless. I even tired patching them up with some leather strips and brought them out to another job, grinding, welding mig/tig but now the stitching is failing and the gloves are falling apart.
    ProsKnuckle padding, quite comfortable.
ConsNot durable, not enough leather in the right places.

    Heavy duty fabrication gloves
    September 17, 2014
These gloves are great for most steel fabrication; grinding, shaping, drilling, as they have thick leather all around. They are definitely to thick for assembly work, as it is difficult to pick up nuts, bolts, small items, not much feel to them. The large pair I bought seem to fit a bit tight, but after wearing for a week or so, fit my hands better. All in all, good gloves for the money!

    Not Worth It
    August 12, 2014
I am an iron worker who deals in heavy duty metal fabrication. These gloves came apart at the seams after less than 2 weeks of work on all the fingers. I would not recommend these be used for fabrication.
    ProsAre comfortable
ConsThey fall apart and the leather is not all 100% leather.

Great for handling material and general work

I was up in the air about which pair of gloves to get but the reduced price got my attention and I'm glad I chose these. These are not like "Mechanix" brand gloves. These are made from goat skin, soft yet durable, and are three times the quality of mechanic type gloves. They don't have a lot if the stretchy material all over them that easily melts which is nice. At first they are a bit difficult to pick up small nuts and bolts with due to the thicker material but you get better at it the longer you wear them. I used them for changing motorcycle tires, handling steel plate, light tigging, migging, cutting wood, camping and riding my Harley. The only thing that was a bit on the cons side, which might not even be worth mentioning, was that the leather color bled onto my hands when I spilled acetone on them and didn't hurt gloves one bit. Water didn't cause any bleeding. I'm 100% satisfied with these and will buy a second pair while the price is reduced. I believe you could fight a bear with them but I'm not certain.
ProsQuality Material (Goat skin) Comfortable Looks
    ConsNone worth mentioning

Outstanding gloves for the money, will take a little breaking in, but the size is perfect, nice fit. I need to get another pair for riding gloves, a lot tougher then your average motorcycle gloves.
ProsThick tough leather, sizing is dead on

    awesome work glove
    August 5, 2013
excellent glove for working metal and grinding. was having trouble with other gloves because grinding sparks with eventually burn through the back of the fingers. not so much with these. finger backing is thick and durable. only complaint is that the thumb is a little long but not enough to be much of a bother. a bit warm but that's to be expected due to the thicker material they're made of.
Prosthick, comfortable glove that wont burn through like cheaper gloves. worth the investment if handling metal and grinding/cutting often.
    Consthumb fit a bit long

    Excellent work gloves
    January 14, 2013
Usually i buy those cheap work gloves at home depot for $15 and they last a few weeks. I was happy doing that because i thought everything i was going to use was going fall apart fairly quickly. These gloves put a stop to that mostly because they're made out of good material and stitched together very well. In the two weeks i've used them they still are in almost new condition despite grabbing a lot of sharp sheet metal edges, using them while grinding, and just using them for general purposes. They fit like baseball gloves, very snug. They're also warm enough to keep your hands from freezing too much in the cold MN weather. The only issue i have is the thumb and the pinky are a bit long but that depends on your hands. I'd recommend to at least try these gloves.
Prosleather palm and fingers strong stitching knuckle padding
Consfit for the pinky and thumb are a little off (both a little long)

Sizing was WAY off on these I felt. Should definately be offered in a 2XL for us big guys. They look like tough gloves, but I can't even get my fingers in them to find out. I gave them away to a friend.

    ConsSized WAY too small

I have had these gloves for going on 2 weeks now and I flat love them. I mig and tig with them everyday and love them. Very heat resistant, GREAT for sheet metal fab
Merchant Response:These gloves are great for handling metal. Be careful not to expose them to high heat, though. Stitching is not Kevlar and is not intended for welding.
    Prosheat resistant. cut resistant
ConsLittle thick for my liking to TIG weld
