I thought it came with a multiplug adapter kit. How much for that
By Customer Service on January 27, 2014

    Answer:
The Miller Dynasty 200 DX TIG Welder 907099011 comes with a 4 conductor power cord and it is not designed to use the multi voltage adapter plugs.. You will need to decide if you are going to using single or three phase power and what voltage you will be running the machine on. You will then have to purchase a plug to match the receptacle you will be using and then install that pug on the power cord.. If you are going to use the machine on single phase power you would only use the green, black and white conductors in the power cord.

I used this welder for a little over a month when it died. I used about half of a 60 cf bottle of argon, very limited use. Extremely disappointed with the machine. I emailed Miller about the possibility of trading it for another model, such as the 280DX but they did not seem interested.

    Excellent machine
    November 11, 2013
I've been a job shop welder for 38 years and this machine is certainly the finest and most versatile one I have ever used for portable work. Unless you really need the extra features, though, save yourself some money and go with the SD model.
    Pros:
I love the imput voltage versatility...makes on-site stainless work in restaurants soooo much easier. Great aluminum welder as well.
    Cons:
My only complaint is the durability of this (and, from my experience, all) inverter welders. I got 4 years out of the first one I owned and 5 1/2 out of this one. When they go they are so expensive to have repaired that you are better off buying a new one.

Outsdanding machine; expected better documentation for the price
    May 9, 2013
This top-flight machine does everything expected extremely well (at a very high price point). I've been through 3 cylinders of argon (both AC and DC) and about 15 lbs. of 7018 stick so far. Only features I have not tested are fast pulse and 4T weld sequencing. I supplied my own CK TIG torch, SSC foot pedal, and Tweco work and stick leads, as the Miller Contractor Kit didnot appear to be a good value for what I do. The manual and online documentation are terse and uninformative. Some sophisticated, advanced features ( of which the machine has many) don't even rate a single sentence. And certain basic information is not found anywhere. Just one example: I found no mention in the manual that when switching from "TIG" to "stick" mode in DC, the machine internally swaps output polarity, so that the weld terminal labeled "+" becomes electrically negative and vice-versa. This might be a nice feature, since DCEP is more often used for stick (not always) and it saves swapping the work lead; but it should be documented. After wasting some metal and rods, presuming that "+" and "-" on the front panel actually meant something, I stumbled across this little bit of critical info on the Miller user forum. So far I've had no need to test the Miller repair or service organization; but a world-class machine does deserve clear and comprehensive user documentation. Gas connections do not have accessible stationary nuts to allow using two wrenches for proper tightening. Wrench reaction torque appears is transmitted to the molded plastic front and rear panels, which flex visibly. No sign of cracking so far, but it's a fragile design. Last I'll just mention that the front panel on the current production 200DX no longer says "Made in USA". The tag on the back instead now reads "Assembled in USA". Re: Cyberweld, their sales policies and responsive service are first rate. I will continue to buy from them. I'm an experienced amateur, not a professional weldor. I have no commercial or private interest in Miller, Cyberweld or any related or competing company.
    Pros:
    - Great welder, solid and predictable - Diverse and flexible feature set - Robust engineering - Good user interface - Smooth arc characteristics - Responsive controls
    Cons:
    - Very expensive - Flimsy-looking gas connections - Terrible documentation

I am very happy with my new Miller Dynasty 200DX welder. I weld both Stainless and Aluminum and used a welder that was 40 years old. This is its replacement and its everything that I hoped for.
    Pros:
Great controls Easy to setup and use Good documentation Compact and lite

This machine is the business, I bought it for home use and I run it on single phase. It does a exellent job. I have mainly used it for TIG welding aluninium, which it does very well. It is great being able to adjust the frequency and frequency + time, this gives the ability to adjust the weld pool to just how you like it for the aplication you are welding. Also the puls function is a real usefull feature, helping when welding thinner material. Also great when used as MMAW, great starting characteristics.
    Pros:
Size, weight Single phase ability, and can use one 3 phase with no alterations to internal wireing. Good amount of power for most light fabrication work. Weld starting of Low Hydrogen electrodes. It does ot all
    Cons:
    Nothing

Outstanding piece of equipment - much better than my high frequency box for my Trailblazer - Quieter for sure :-)
    Pros:
Small size vs. power Very stable arc Lots of control of functions
    Cons:
Not a dislike, but if you are doing a lot of thick aluminum go for the bigger Dynasty and water cooled torch

Miller Dynasty 200 DX TIG Welder
    July 22, 2012
This is an excellent machine. Although it has more adjustments and features than I've used so far, the main settings I use, like pulse parameters, post flow, purge time, and output current are easy to enter and change as needed. The light weight and small size are a very pleasant change from my previous transformer type TIG welder. In over two years of nearly daily use, it has not so much as hiccupped. The high efficiency of the unit really shows up in hot weather, when it doesn't overload my shop air conditioning like my transformer welder used to do.
    Pros:
Widely adjustable pulse, easy to set controls, light weight and small size, high efficiency.
    Cons:
The only complaint I can think of is that when setting the current to a very different level, you have to turn the knob several turns, and if you go too fast, it jumps randomly. A "plus 25" and "minus 25" button might be nice.

This Machine is almost too good to be true. I have always had big - heavy TIG machines. Ive Been pushing a blue arc since 1982. I wanted to do some mobile work so I gave this machine a shot. It is such a bad ass Little Welder....! I LOVE IT. Absolutely Amassing Technology.
    Pros:
Almost all good. 99 % well made. Very Powerful. Very Precise. Awesome arc controls.
    Cons:
Just this one thing. I wish the brass fitting for the gas lines had a wrenching hex that went past the plastic cover plate - like the one's on my coolmate 3.5's do. So you could use two wrench's to snug up the fittings. This is a very nice machine - I should not have to worry about the molded plastic breaking ever time I wrench on a gas line.
