    Features
  • Easy to use.
    1. Turn power on.
    2. Select Process: AC TIG, DC TIG or DC Stick.
    3. Set amperage based on material thickness.
Then weld! It's easy as 1,2,3.
  • Pro-Set™ feature (professional settings) eliminates the guesswork when setting weld parameters. Use Pro-Set when you want the speed, convenience and confidence of pre-set controls. Simply select the feature and adjust until Pro-Set appears on the display.
  • Squarewave output with AC balance control features adjustable oxide cleaning which is essential for creating the highest quality aluminum welds.
  • Pulse control enhances weld bead and puddle control for improved appearance and quality. Use it to reduce burn through, coordinate the addition of filler material, and reduce the warping effects of distortion by reducing the average heat input.
  • Fan-On-Demand™ improves power efficiency and reduces noise and maintenance by decreasing the amount of airborne contaminants pulled though the machine.
  • DIG control allows the arc characteristics to be changed for specific applications and electrodes. Lower the DIG setting for smooth running electrodes like E7018 and increase the DIG setting for stiffer, more penetrating electrodes like E6010.
  • Multi-voltage plug (MVP™) allows connection to 115 or 230 V receptacles without tools
  • AUTO-LINE™ Allows 115 V or 230 V input voltage hookups.
  • Upgradeable and expandable. Front panel memory card data port provides the ability to easily upgrade software and expand product features. Visit MillerWelds.com/TIGSoftware for the latest software upgrades and expansions.
  • Auto-Postflow protects the weld end zone and electrode by optimizing postflow time based on welding amperage for adequate shielding every time without waste and no need for adjustment.
  • Low power draw. Inverter-based power source provides full welding output from 230 V while drawing less than 30 amps.
  • High frequency for non-contact arc starting. Eliminates tungsten and material contamination.

I am going to weld 1/4" aluminum at my shop probably 1 day a week for 8 hours each time. Should I look at a larger welder, or will this work just fine?
Miller advises that this machine would be able to handle 1/4" welding. From personal experience, we would suggest moving up to a machine that can do at least 5/16" due to the fact that you may have to make a couple of passes to successfully achieve 1/4" weld.

You mentioned in a previous question that the Syncrowave 210 can weld 1/4 aluminum (with out water cooling) with the torch provided. The WP17 is only rated at 150 amps. So your saying the WP17 can weld with the max of 210 amps the welder provides?
We reviewed your question regarding welding 1/4" aluminum with the Miller Syncrowave 210 TIG Welder 907596 using the WP 17 torch that comes standard with this unit with Miller. They indicated that the WP17 is capable of handling the maximum capabilities of the 210. Welding 1/4" aluminum with the 210 will be at maximum output, and the machine's duty cycle will be very low. At the 210s maximum output the WP 17's duty cycle rating will be higher than that of the machine. This allows the WP 17 to be used in this application. Keep in mind that although the Miller Syncrowave 210 TIG Welder 907596 can weld 1/4" aluminum it is not a great choice if you plan on doing alot of 1/4" aluminum

At the bottom of the description page it says that this unit cannot be used with the spool gun I see the other questions have been answered about the spool gun and say that you can upgrade to spool gun capability what is the real answer?
The Miller Syncrowave 210 907596 is capable of running a spoolgun.. However depending on when the machine was manufactured it may or may not be cost effective to do so.. On machines produced before serial # ME390001L it will be cost prohibitive to update them to spoolgun capability. Machines produced after serial # ME390001L can be updated to spoolgun capability by purchasing the Miller Syncrowave 210 Mig Accessory kit. You also have the option to purchase the Miller Syncrowave 210 MIG Complete 951616 which has spoolgun capability right out of the box

With the memory card slot, can you just download the updates with a standard memory card and update the machine? Why are cards sold separately with different options? (pulse, freq, etc)...

The expansion cards are sold separately so that owner of the Syncrowave 210 can tailor the unit to his needs. Some owners do not need expansion features . some do not need all of the expansion features, and some want all of the features

With the use of the 301127 AC Frequency Expansion card the AC frequency can be made adjustable from 60 to 150 HZ.. The same holds true for the pulse adjustment.. From the factory the pulse rate is set at 0 to 50 pulses per second.. With the addition of the 301128 DC pulse expansion card the pulse rate can then be adjusted from 0 to 150 pulses per second

It appears that the 210 comes with a 12 ft work cord; can a longer cord be used; possibly a 25 ft cord? If so can one upgrade to the longer cord when purchasing, or do you need to buy a longer cord in addition to the one supplied? Same for the power cord; can one add to the length of the standard cord? If so do you purchased an "extension" or can the longer power cord be added at the time of purchase?

Does this machine pulse tig weld without the software upgrade? If so, what does the software upgrade do? Does it increase the capabilities to weld thicker material? What exactly does the software upgrade do? Thanks.
Miller Syncrowave 210 907596 will pulse up to 50 pulse per second as it comes from the factory. Pulse control enhances weld bead and puddle control for improved appearance and quality. Use it to reduce burn through, coordinate the addition of filler material, and reduce the warping effects of distortion by reducing the average heat input. When purchasing the memory card for pulse expansion you will increase the pulse to a maximum of 150 pulses per second.

I purchased this welder with the free upgrades including the MIG spool gun and upgraded SD card. What a great value! I am a welding instructor at my Union hall and I bought this welder for at home use. I've used it to weld lots of aluminum, steel, stainless steel, and I've even TIG welded cast iron to stainless steel using Inconel filler wire and it's just an outstanding machine. I use it mainly for TIG welding, but I've used 3 spools of MIG wire in the few months I've had it and I really love the ability to MIG as well. I cannot say enough great things about this welder. Especially when I compare it to the many many many different machines I've welded with and taught with. The quality of all the components is outstanding, including the regulator it came with, I think everything is made in USA which means a LOT to me. I love that the integrated bottle cart will hold a large Argon or mix gas cylinder and rolls around with it sooooo smooth. The only thing I will end up upgrading is to a Pyrex gas lens set up on the TIG torch, but this is personal preference.
ProsHard to drop almost $3K on a home welding machine but the first time you use it you will be glad you did. Just an outstanding do-it-all machine.

Got it, opened it up and started welding. I started on a 15 amp breaker. That was just stupid. Ran off a 20 amp and the machine knew and gave a max output for that. Sweet machine. I have not done aluminum with it yet.
    ProsFast set up

Best bang for the buck in a quality welder.
    February 3, 2016
After weeks of research on Miller welders and Chinese welders, I'm glad I pulled the trigger on this Miller. I could of got a welder with more bells and whistles from Everlast, but after seeing a using in person everything screams cheap junk, whereas everything on this Miller screams quality. Even the freight packaging the welder came in looked like it could survive a nuclear blast. Currently Miller offers this welder with a free MIG spool gun and a free pulse and AC frequency upgrade. Now that the Symcroswave 210 is an inverter unit This welder is about as close as you can get to a Dynasty without shelling out the big cash for one. Controls are super easy for newbies and DIYers.
ProsEasy to use, professional results, high resale value, quality.
    ConsBigger than most equivalent welders

Entire ordeal from purchase to using the machine has been great. I would definitely order from cyberweld again in the future, and absolutely love my syncrowave 210.
ProsBest price online. Machine runs great and was a breeze to setup. 110/220 optional input is awesome.
ConsWish it came with the expandable sd cards or pre-loaded with frequency/pulse control, instead of having to buy them separate.

Great Machine and buying experience with Cyberweld
    March 11, 2015
Received the Syncrowave210 in about 3-4 business days and no problems in shipping. Unit worked perfectly on arrival. I don't have a lot of time on it yet but so far it is working as expected. No problems. Price wasn't the best on the internet but Cyberweld had really good reviews from people making similar purchases so I felt it was a better risk to take than a lower priced company with no idea how customers are treated. Thanks for the prompt delivery and a unit that works as expected. The bottle of argon came a day or so later but it is hazmat so I would expect it to take a bit longer.
ProsMiller Made in USA Cart built in 1/4" capacity for aluminum and steel Digital interface and upgradeable
ConsI would prefer that Miller make the door so that you can store a plasma cutter on top of this unit. As it is now you can not store anything on top of this welder if you want to access the side door. Miller could have made the door open from the side so that you could store a plasma on top, or even a smaller mig on top.

This machine helped me make beautiful welds the first time using TIG.
    May 28, 2014
This machine is the perfect alternative to the Diversion series. Cost is a little higher, but not much when you consider you don't need a cart with this machine. But the features with the AC balance and pulse adjustments, plus the optional AC frequency upgrade make this a more capable machine. Not to mention the duty cycle improvement and extra amperage. This machine is definitely worth the price difference over the Diversion series while still being easy to use. I've got several years experience with MIG welding, but I've never used TIG before, and after reading the manual and setting it all up (I also watched a few videos on the Miller site) I was making beautiful TIG welds on chromalloy steel, I was extremely pleased with the results. I haven't tried aluminum yet but I am excited to try it because of how well its going so far and it's so cool I can now weld aluminum and stainless just by using a different filler metal. Even friends and family were impressed how well I could TIG with almost zero torch time. The only thing I don't like are I wish they would just include the extra pulse range and AC frequency capability. It seems wrong to pay $200 each just to basically unlock the potential if the machine already has the physical capability to do it. I don't see myself paying the extra $400 for those software upgrades but I sure would of been a happier customer to try them if the machine can do it. Because of this I put the cost as a con. However, I don't think you can get a more capable quality American made TIG machine for the price.
Proslow power useage inverter technology AC balance adjustment pulse control comes with everything you need to TIG except an argon tank and filler metal(also need safety gear) built in cart easy to use

    Awesome little machine!!
    January 2, 2014
I am not an expert by any means but this machine works great. Have run some pretty nice aluminum welds and mild steel welds on 1/4 inch with no problem. Very simple to use and set up. Have not used the Pulse Mode yet, I am still learning. Great for my side business and projects. I almost went with the Diversion 180 but am glad I spent the extra money. Ordered a 80 cu ft cylinder of Argon too. Made for a great set up.
Pros240V and 120V. Stick Weld if you want. Light weight. Simple set up. Cabinet for storage and already on wheels.
ConsLower Duty Cycle at 210A but expected for a smaller machine. Other than that nothing.

    My Dream Machine...
    October 12, 2013
It's simply hands-down amazing...This is my first Welder and was extremely fast and easy to set-up and use. I had literally never so much as even held a TIG torch before getting this machine and yet within about 4 days of playing with it I was already beginning to run some really pretty beads. As far as stick welding goes, it definitely does a great job with little to no sticking. In closing, if I had it to do all over again, I would buy the Syncrowave 210 in a heartbeat.
    ProsExtremely user-friendly
