    Cyberweld gets 5 stars for speed and delivery. I hope this welder earns 5 stars. This is my second one. The first one bought in early 2009 crapped out a couple months after the warranty expired. The main board and a cap were fried. The welder didn't get a ton of use either. It was going to cost almost as much to repair and no warranty as getting a new one. So with all the accessories I already had, I'm giving Miller on last shot.
    Pros:
    Easy to set up and use.
    Cons:
    First one didn't last as long as it should have. Miller's Made in the USA quality was not there.

    The Diversion 165 was precisely what I needed for my shop. I'd done TIG many years ago in another shop and I needed to be able to weld aluminum & stainless. In the past I'd always been put off by the price of TIG machines, but this one fit the bill perfectly. It's almost too simple to run and it was really easy to get my "hand" back. I will be using this machine quite a bit. My only complaint is that it doesn't come with a foot pedal. No biggie - I just ordered one.
    Pros:
    Ease of setup, ultra-simple operation and the nice smooth arc of a Miller machine.
    Cons:
    It really needs to have a foot pedal and after reading a lot of reviews on the Miller pedal, I ended up ordering one from SSC Controls since it received much better reviews.

    The foot pedel that is "optional" is that specific for this machine, or will other footpedals work, too?

    Answer:
    The optional foot control for the Diversion 165 is specific to the Miller Diversion 165, Diversion 180 and the Hobart E-Z TIG 165. It will not work with any other machines, nor can you use a standard Miller foot control on the Diversion 165, 180 or E-Z TIG 165.

    Answer:
    The main differences between the Diversion 165 and 180 are:

    1. More fine arc control with 180
    2. 180 operates on 115V or 230V, 165 operates on 230V only.
    3. 180 comes with remote foot control, while 165 comes with integrated fingertip control built into the torch.
