I'm currently in school for welding and we're doing nonstop stick. With these gloves I've never felt a bit of heat in my hands when getting close to hot plate, unlike with thinner gloves. My right middle finger has come apart though, not sure if it was something on my end or not. Even though they are real thick, I don't feel like they make your hands too hot. Great product

    Gloves are too tight.
    September 16, 2016
Although these gloves were tagged as large, They were way too tight and felt more like a medium size. Had to send them back and get an XL pair. Otherwise a nice pair of gloves.

I though twice about buying these and I can say I do not regret it. When you are comfortable welding the welds reflect it. Highly Recommended.
ProsBurn resistant outside hand protect from where you lay your arm down for support and on the back of your hand. The most comfortable glove I have ever owned and the feel is great.

    Didn't last long
    March 19, 2016
There is a sweet spot after the first week they're broken in, but before they start to break down, where these are nice gloves. For me, the honeymoon was over after 2 weeks when the duct tape came out to patch the first hole. The pads on the back of the fingers started to rip off at about the same time. Within 6 weeks every finger had worn through, and the insulation was noticeably broken down. You can't expect gloves to last forever, but 6 weeks for an "Extra Heavy Duty" product at a premium price point and I was hoping to get a little more out of them than I did.

i work on bridges and there is stick and fluxcore welding the gloves are thick but not too thick just perfect and the silicone works great but when using the fluxcore i would put a heat reflecting pad [ kevlar and aluminum ] to block the rest of the heat . the silicone doesn't melt but the heat from the pool is too much for just the glove . it has a nice and comfortable fit, i would buy it again if it was a little cheaper maybe in the upper 20's would be a better price.
Proscomfortable, excellent fit, sturdy construction, good heat and spark resistance

these gloves are a total waste of money!! The fingers blew out after a couple of weeks use, The palms are made of soft leather that can't withstand the heat, the stitching is very weak also. I won't be buying these again!
