Disappointed.By Taylor from Colorado on May 26, 2012 Had my Miller Digital elite for about a year. Liked the features, weight etc. Hood did not withstand the rigors of Boilermaking. Flimsy outer protective lens housing, outer lens protective housing latches wore out. Auto darkening lens got cracked after drop of less than five feet (lens was inside helmet with both protective lenses in place). Would expect Miller's "ELITE" model to be better constructed. Maybe a good choice for a shop welder but not well suited for heavy industrial repair applications.Pros:Several easy to use settings. Cool "gadget" buttons. Light weight.Cons:Durability. Or lack thereof.light and confortableBy dave from wisconsin on May 6, 2012 Best welding helmet I've ever used. I let a fellow worker try it out thats welded for over 25 years and he said the same thing.Pros:headgear
user friendly
magnifying viewing area is very clear
lightweight I would recommend this item to a friend.Great HelmetBy Chuck H from Lynchburg, VA on April 28, 2012 I am the supervisor for the Fabrications Department at Liberty University and this is the third Miller Digital Elite helmet we have purchased. Awesome product, easy to maintain, easy to use. We use them for inside welding as well as out in the field. Dropped one 60' from a video tower we were building, just dusted it off and kept on working. Pros:Ease of use, durability, light weight, great visibility, great price.Cons:Nothing.I would recommend this item to a friend.Great gift ideaBy Celena from diamondeyecare@gmail.com on April 27, 2012 This was a birthday gift for my sweetheart and he loves it!I would recommend this item to a friend.awsome hood!!!By Kevin from Chicago Il. on April 27, 2012 This hood unbeleivable how well you can see, if your looking for a nice hood that is comfortable and u can see your weld more visable this is it!!!Pros:great veiwingI would recommend this item to a friend.Digital Elite is the way to go!!!By Juan from Chicago, Illinois on April 2, 2012 I had bad expirince with Lenses that have knobs. They wear out!!! At Work they Supply us with Jackson Auto Darking helmet... But I decided to get my own... This my fist time buying a Miller product... Love it!!! Best investment ever!!! Also can use it for Cutting & Grinding thats a plus.I would recommend this item to a friend. From Speedglas to MillerBy Ken from Lake Havasu City, Arizona on March 12, 2012 First time personally owning a Miller brand helmet, used a speedglas for years until having the local weld supplier talk me into a Miller helmet. So far after owning it for about 3 weeks it is solid, I have done everything from grinding to Flux core with it, Spent a week solid welding in all kinds of odd angles and the X Mode is AMAZING for welding in odd spots while I was doing a 4 link suspension on an air bagged mini truck. We will see how it ages. My main gripe with the hood is that the headgear is the ol standby, I only give this hood a 4 out of 5 because of the headgear, you have a great product here miller, now if you could step up your headgear design to something on par of speedglas it would be a knock out. Pros:X MODE (it is amazing!)
Big Window
Ease of getting lenses
a ton of adjustments for the lens settings
Did I mention X mode?
Cons:Wish the headgear was on par with speedglas helmets
I would recommend this item to a friend.Student WelderBy Edward from Detroit, Michigan on March 8, 2012 Being new to welding I have no complaints on this product it works on All three welding classes I'm taking arc/tig/mig.
