Arcair Protex Zinc Rich Cold Galvanizing Spray 16 oz. Protex Zinc Rich Cold Galvanizing compound uses the “sacrificial anode” principal to provide corrosion protection for the base metal. The zinc content in Zinc Rich sacrifices itself to any metal higher (nobler) than zinc in the periodic table of elements such as iron. This allows Protex Zinc Rich to bond to the parent metal to provide a higher degree of corrosion protection than anything that is just a surface coating material. Zinc Rich may be painted over if required.
