does this work well with The Little Torch?
The Smith Propane (LP) Regulator - 30 Series Medium Duty has a delivery pressure of 50 PSI which is to high for the Little Torch. The fuel regulator that Smith recommends for use with the Little Torch is the 30-15-510. This regulator is actually an acetylene regulator. it has a delivery pressure of 15 psi which works well with the Little Torch using propane fuel gas. You can go here to see this regulator. When ordering make sure to choose the 510 inlet connection

looking for a regulator that can accurately deliver very low gas pressures of about 0.3 psi. Can this Smith regulator do that, or do you have another recommendation? Thanks.
The Smith Propane (LP) Regulator - 30 Series Medium Duty cannot accurately deliver low gas pressures (.3 psi). Neither Smith or Victor our two regulator suppliers have a product that will operate in that pressure range

I plan to use this with my little torch for jewelry and silversmithing. Do I need to purchase a flash arrest connection or is it already equipped with a safety check valve?
The Smith Propane (LP) Regulator - 30 Series Medium Duty does not come with flash back arrestors or check valves. If you are going to use this regulator with an oxy/ propane torch a set of flash back arrestors such as the Smith Flashback Arrestor (set) - Regulator Mount H753 would be recommended

Hi there, I just ordered this product and am trying to hook it up to my 30 gallon propane tank- but no matter how tightly I tighten the attachment nut- I'm still getting MAJOR leaks from where it attaches. I've taken it off and reattached it five times or so. Using a wrench. Please advise? Thanks
Every Smith Propane (LP) Regulator - 30 Series Medium Duty is tested at the factory for operation and connection.. Would it be possible for you to try this on another propane cylinder to determine if the problem is with the regulator or possibly your cylinder

Will this regulator connect to a 30# propane tank like you use for a BBQ grill? The literature I've found always seems to lean toward using a 5# or 10# tank, I already have 3, 30#. tanks. I work at a stationary location and portability is not and issue for me. Thanks for your time. R
Smith Propane (LP) Regulator - 30 Series Medium Duty will fit a 30lb propane cylinder.

Would this be good for "lampworking" or "glassblowing"? I'm currently using an acetlyne regulator and it isn't doing so well. I use propane and oxygen mixture.
Although we are not familiar with lamp soldering and glass blowing process the Smith Propane (LP) Regulator - 30 Series Medium Duty would be a good choice for use in a oxy/propane procedure.. You will find that the propane regulator will give you more delivery pressure than the acetylene regulator which may remedy your problem

From CyberWeld, shipping was prompt and free, the regulator was well packaged and intact. The Smith Propane (LP) Regulator - 30 Series Medium Duty, worked perfectly from day one and is a high quality piece of equipment. I am using this regulator with a Smith Little Torch, and even at pressures under 10 Lb. it seems to be very precise. I do not have anything negative to say about this transaction.
ProsEverything, including price, which was the lowest I could find for any quality Reg.
    ConsNothing!

It is exactly what I was looking for! I have had one similar to it before that I used for 15 plus years.. I am a Lampwork artist and use it heavily 3-5 days a week. It came perfectly packaged.. quick shipping.. easy install and used it the same day! If something happens to this one I will most definitely purchase another Smith Brand..
ProsWorks efficiently.. hooks up quick.. just what I need..
    Cons I haven't found any..

I would give a 5 star review but the plastic packaging that the regulator came in had been cracked and removed before it was put into the shipping box. However the regulator seems to be in excellent condition and when we got it we called to ask a technician about something. The phone was answered immediately by a friendly person who connected us to a tech right away who was very intelligent and helpful and spent time with us attending to our needs and helped us find a solution to our connection issue. So I would say excellent customer service. Checked out the torch and it seems to work perfectly. Also it arrived fairly soon after we ordered it. Will buy from you again. Thanks
ProsLooks like a good regulator for my needs. Gauges are easy to read, haven/t used it for any length of time yet but have a small smith regulator for my little torch and it works great so expect this will also.
ConsDon't know cause havent used it much yet.
