decent headgear
November 15, 2015
The rubber band in my pipeliner broke. I couldn't find just the rubber band anywhere so I bought the whole new headgear. The plastic nuts on the sides adjust themselves as you flip the hood up and down. Probably most headgears do that. Also there is no back stop to keep it from falling backwards when it is flipped up. I do know that some other headgears do have a stop to prevent that from happening. That being said this is the only rubber band headgear that I know about and when I'm laying on my back I can't stand when the ratchet pushes on the back of my head. Also, although getting it to stay adjusted for head-size requires some tape around the rubber band, once it's adjusted it's adjusted. While I was waiting for the new headgear to arrive I decided to modify mine to work with the rubber band from a headlamp. I like it better than the original. Now if I can just modify the nuts and fab up a back stop it would be the perfect headgear.
Prosno ratchet
Consnuts loosen as hood is flipped up and down (don't know if this can be a con since i've had many headgears that do this)
no back stop
