    Jeff VanderTuin
    from Michigan asked:
    October 9, 2016
Is the outer clear lens the standard 4 1/2"x5 1/4"? Or is it specially designed for this hood?
    1 Answer
The Jackson Welding Helmet - Metal TrueSight II Lens 46120 requires a specific lens (Jackson Welding Helmet - TrueSight External Safety Lens 30320). Although a standard 4 1/2"x5 1/4 will physically fit it does not fit the sealing gasket. Without this gasket arc flash can leak into the helmet

    Amazing
    March 19, 2019
I didn't buy mine from here but most of my cover lenses I do buy from here.I have owned this helmet since it first came out. It comes with Jacksons amazing simple but comfortable and reliable and properly working headgear. It does suck battery power as it does take a lot of power to power this adf. Its very fast to switch out the cover lenses inside and outside and very fast to switch from grind, cut and weld modes as well as shades. Everything is internal and easily performed with gloves on. When it grind or cut mode there is a green led that stays illuminated in the perfect spot where it isn't bothersome but you also wont forget to go back to welding mode. I've never ever been flashed except when I ran the harbor freight batteries. I thought it was broken because its whole life has been spent on shade 13 but when I changed battery brands it runs just like the day I bought it. As a professional I highly recommend it and I will be buying another one when this one gives out.
ProsExtremely clear Headgear Fast to switch modes Grind and torch mode light stays illuminated and in the perfect spot 4 sensors standard AAA batteries lightweight reliable fast and easy lense changes consistent
    ConsConsumes battery life quickly

Great lens! Headgear from the 90s
    November 21, 2018
As has been stated, the head gear is HORRIBLE! I have a 3N1 from the late 90s and the head gear is about the same as my new TrueSight II. Jackson aka Kimberly Clark should be thoroughly ashamed at how little they seem to care about providing head gear for this price point. I tested the head gear from comparable manufacturers and theirs is significantly more advanced and comfortable, I wanted the 1/1/1/1 clarity provided by this helmet and it does not disappoint, but I'm tempted to see if I can retrofit the Miller or Lincoln headgear, both of which put the Jackson to shame.
ProsThe TrueSight !! is great to view through even when my vision is at a severe angle!
ConsI think the cheap helmets from China have as good a head gear as this one.

Best ADF I've ever used but the ratcheting knob doesn't stay tight on the headgear, constantly having too tighten the knobs gets annoying.
ProsADF is great all settings work great

This Jackson welding helmet is great. I had been having problems seeing the area around my weld pool with my old helmet. I got this helmet and immediately noticed the difference.
ProsViewing area. Clear visibility during welding.
    ConsPrice is getting up there.

Lens is awesome-Band adjustment is inferior
    November 26, 2016
I never knew I could see so well I love the lens but be careful it is easy to scratch-- the band adjustment is inferior, keeps loosening up - I would still recommend this to a friend.
