I have a pencil flame torch that is fine but lacks heat. I also have a quick light torch that has 3 flames that aren't worth using. So, what is the flame shape of the TX-503. I was in the 503rd in 1950. Maybe this is the lucky torch.

The flame shape of the TurboTorch Extreme TX-503 Propane/MAPP Torch 0386-1297 is round, shaped like a mushroom head at the beginning of the flame. The torch should be operated fully open.

    Excellent Mapp Gas Torch
Borrowed one from a friend, and after using his, my propane was a thing of the past. It makes heat, a lot of heat, and very quickly. Lights instantly as well. I don't see where there is any room for improvement. If you've been using propane & want something that can really get it done, this is your answer. Cyberweld sent it out immediately and had a great price too. I'm a happy camper, thank you

    I always use these
I've been using these turbo torches for the last 15 or so years. Got rid of b tanks because they were too heavy to lug around. These tips are great, lightweight and dependable. I am in the plumbing business and I would use nothing else!
ConsA little costly but they are worth the extra money

If the piezo lasts twice as long as the Bernz-O-Matic TS-4000, it will be worth it.
I have in my collection three Bernz-O-Matic TS-4000 MAPP gas torches, and none of them work. When the last one decided to crap out, I thought it was time to try another brand, so owning a set of Victor Acetylene torches, I thought I'd give their Turbo Torch a try. My initial impression on unboxing the torch is that it feels cheaply constructed. The body being made of plastic, instead of the cast aluminum body of the Bernz-O-Matic I'm used to. All torches work when new, so in order for this one to justify the price (double that of the Bernz-O-Matic) the piezo igniter will need to last more than twice as long... Time will tell.
    ProsWorks when new

    Feels real quality
The whole feel of it is real quality. The fittings are strong but finely made. It starts instantly with a pull on the trigger and locks on reliably. The flame is very smoothly adjustable. I have only used it with propane but it runs Mapp gas too. So far but I am very confident in it. Glad I paid more than a low end torch.

    lock on button
The torch lights and operates as you would expect. My only issue is getting used to the lock on/ off button. While it's nice to be able to click the trigger to shut it off, I find myself accidentally hitting the trigger and shutting it off when I didn't intend to. Maybe after more time using it, I'll get used to it.
    Proseasy to use priced right
