Good Jacket For The Price
July 16, 2012
So about 2 months or so of use in and this piece is still holding up.
Checking it over I found no loose threads or bad stitches, loose buttons, etc.
Overall it's nice stuff.
TIG isn't really a test for durability, but the jacket has shown no signs of wear from some sub 1/2" MIG work.
I had a few good bits of spatter land on the left sleeve and between shaking it off and the flame resistance it didn't appear to damage the material. Granted, if you're doing stick, heavy MIG, or overhead folks know to pick up leather sleeves at the very least. Cotton sleeves don't tend to last too long with that abuse.
The jacket has only needed to be laundered twice so far and hasn't done any shrinking or falling apart so all good there as well.
All in all, it's a functionally good jacket.
Oh...and you'll look cool too hehe.
Fit
Material/Assembly Finish
Flexibility
Large Interior Pockets (Including the one zippered one)
Good for light MIG and TIG
Doesn't get hot in crap weather like leathers/denim will.
