Genuine Speedglas™ G5 Tack Weld Auto-Darkening Filter Assembly for your G5-01, G5-03 Pro-Air or G5-03 series welding helmet. The G5TW offers Natural Color Technology and 12.5 square inches of viewing area. The G5TW's extra bright shade 2.5 light state is optimal for weld shops that have significant grinding and/or tack welding applications. Unlike most auto-darkening welding lenses that have a shade 3, or even shade 4 light state, G5TW's shade 2.5 light state provides a superior, natural color view of the work piece that is clear and uncompromising. Special tack setting in the lens' delay control, optimizes lens response while tack welding. The G5TW also provides outstanding performance for all kinds of MIG, TIG and stick welding applications.
The Speedglas G5TW ADF has other innovative features, like TAP Function and Bluetooth connectivity. TAP Function allows you to quickly and easily switch between grind/weld mode and cut/weld mode by simply tapping on the outside of your helmet shell. With welding gloves still on, you can tap the side of your helmet to change from grind to weld, or cut to weld, and back again. There is no need for external grind controls. Bluetooth connectivity, through the Speedglas app on your phone, keeps track of usage data, maintenance intervals and firmware updates for your lens. Through the app, you can also program memory modes, sensitivity and delay settings, and have instant access to owner's manuals. You can also electronically "mark" your lens to help prevent theft.
The Speedglas G5TW ADF has four arc sensors and operates in weld, cut and grind modes. It is rated for low amperage TIG welding down to 1 amp. Switching speed is 0.1 milliseconds. The G5TW auto darkening filter features shade 8-13 weld mode, shade 5 cut mode and shade 2.5 grind mode/light state.
