AERO JET Air/Acetylene High Temperature Self-Lighting Brazing/Soldering Torch Kit AKJ5SSL

The AERO JET AKJ5SSL Torch Kit is a "Made in the USA," premium quality self-lighting torch outfit for soldering and brazing with acetylene fuel gas. The included AJ5-SL torch tip is made of stainless steel and brass construction. It features a quick-connect fitting that is compatible with TurboTorch® and other major brands of air/acetylene quick-disconnect torch handles. Its self-lighting trigger allows you to get to work quickly, without the need of a separate spark lighter.

The AKJ5SSL comes with an adustable solid brass acetylene regulator, with "A" (3/8"-24) LH outlet and contents gauge. The 2AM-T torch handle is also made from solid brass and features a brass on/off needle valve, with "A" (3/8"-24) LH hose connection and quick-connect torch tip receiver. This torch outfit, with included tips, is capable of soft soldering up to 3" (75mm) diameter copper and silver brazing up to 1" (24.5mm) diameter copper using acetylene fuel gas. The AKJ5SSL is available with "B" (CGA 520) or "MC" (CGA 200) acetylene gas regulator.

    • Know your acetylene inlet.
    If your acetylene tank has a straight valve with male threads, you should choose the CGA 520 "B" tank (40 cu. ft.) regulator. If your tank has a "Y" valve with male threads, you should choose the CGA 200 "MC" tank (10 cu. ft.) regulator.
