Hobart® IronMan™ 240 MIG Welder With SpoolRunner™ 200 Spool Gun 50074001

The Hobart® IronMan™ 240 with SpoolRunner™ 200 Spool Gun is a 280 amp MIG welder that is capable of welding up to 1/2" mild steel. It delivers 30-280 amps of pure power in a heavy duty cabinet. The arc of the IronMan 240 is optimized to deliver a flawless weld, making spatter and post-weld cleanup almost non-existent.

The IronMan™ 240 easily runs aluminum MIG welding wire. The INCLUDED Hobart SpoolRunner™ 200 spool gun welds aluminum from 18 gauge to 1/2" and uses 1 lb. spools of aluminum MIG wire. It also welds with 2 lb. spools of mild steel, stainless steel and silicon bronze MIG wires.

  • Excellent aluminum welding with standard Hobart DP3545-20 spool gun, also provides extended reach with other wires
  • Infinite voltage control for a smooth, custom arc
  • Infinite wire feed speed control for precise adjustment of penetration and weld bead shape
  • Comes complete with 200 amp gun and built-in running gear/cylinder rack
  • Spool hub makes changing from 2, 10, 33 and 45 lb. wires spools a snap with a tool-less brake tension knob and automatic wire alignment
  • Built-in thermal overload protects the unit
  • Reversible drive rolls: two grooves for two wire sizes on one drive roll. Decreases spare parts and changeover time
  • Hinged door for easy access to wire drive system for spool and drive roll changes
  • Wire drive system delivers 0 - 700 IPM wire feed speed

      Great beads

      Very well pleased. Lays beads just as good as millers I have ran before. I have owned Hobarts for years now. Both mig and gas powered on a serv truck and have always met my expectations.

      How do you get rid of the slow start ? It seems that the drive rollers for the feed lags a couple of seconds before it runs normal anyway of changing that ? Thanks Mark Hier

      Ironman 240 comparison

      I had a miller 250 for 28 years and sold it with my business. I purchased a new miller 252 and did not like the machine at all so I sol it.I bought the Hobart Ironman 240 and love this welder.
