Black Stallion® FlakFinger™ Welding Heat Shield AT2010

Black Stallion® FlakFinger™ welding heat shield sleeve ads extra heat protection for "drag fingers" while TIG welding. The adjustable fiberglass sleeve fits over pinkie and third finger to provide additional heat resistance while wearing thin TIG welding gloves. Bottom portion of hand is also protected by reinforced fiberglass tail. Adjustable leather cuff keeps the FlakFinger comfortably and firmly in place.

The patent pending design of the FlakFinger allows you to keep the sensitive touch needed during TIG welding operations while providing critical heat protection to portions of the hand exposed to arc heat or hot metal surfaces. The FlakFinger is also suitable for light duty MIG welding applications.

Features
  • Leather strap keeps the FlakFinger™ secured throughout your weld
  • Unique design allows for single-finger or two-finger protection
  • Convenient adjustable sleeve and strap system provides a customized fit
  • Reinforced tail extends heat protection through length of hand
  • Great for TIG welding aluminum, stainless steel, pipe, and more
  • Also fits MIG and Stick gloves for propping, sliding, and shielding
  • 100% asbestos free, easy-sliding FR fiberglass and genuine leather construction

      It is ok

should have a strap across the back of the hand, tends to slip off and have to grip hand hard to try and prevent it from coming off.The strap at the wrist is not good enough to keep it on your finger and hand.

      Works like a charm.

Does what it says. Takes a few days to break in, but so far it's been holding up to 8 hour days between Tig and mig in the shop. Almost too small to fit both ring and Pinky finger in.

No good for someone with small hand

I bought this to protect my hand from welding pipe, it always comes off my hand from the finger.
