Smith™ Torch Handle - Light Duty AW1A (Versa-Torch)

Genuine Smith™ AW1A torch handle is an easy handling, high quality small-size welding torch handle. The AW1A cuts up to 3", welds up to 1/2" with OPTIONAL cutting attachment and tips. It features rugged silver brazed construction, forged brass butt and precision machined brass head. Ball type needle valves reduce uneven valve wear and provide easy flame adjustment. Inlet connections, 3/8" - 24 right or left hand, fit "A" size hose nuts. Internal threads are protected from damage.

Comes complete with Smith's 25-year warranty. NOTE: Use of tips not manufactured by Smith or repairs made with other than genuine Smith parts will void the warranty.

      Great Little Torch

      I've had this torch for a couple months. I'm a weekend hobby welder. I've been using this for oxyacetylene brazing. Does a terrific job. It's comfortable in your hand. I only wish there were more tip size options like a OO.

      Great little torch handle

      Bought this torch on the recommendation of a welding instructor at an EAA workshop. I have struggled in the past with my larger torch handles when welding light materials in sometimes tight/awkward positions. A lighter torch handle like this really eases the challenge of getting acceptable results when welding aircraft tubing, especially when teamed with a smaller caliber light weight hose set. It feels good in the hand, the fittings are well made and the valves make consistent adjustment easy.
