Optrel® Helix CLT (Crystal Lens Technology) Welding Helmet with Slide-Up Lens & Integrated Hard Hat 1050.200

The AccuLock S .030 MIG Contact Tip (pkg 10) The Helix CLT ADF has a Crystal shade 2.0 light state that is unmatched in the world for color and clarity, and provides up to 6X the viewing area of a standard 2" X 4" auto-dark welding lens. When you're done welding, the Helix lens slides up and out of the way, on the inside of the helmet, to give you a clear, unobstructed view of your work. A large, single knob on the outside of the welding hood allows you to quickly and easily slide the auto-darkening lens up for grinding and other tasks. Slide the lens back down into place when you're ready to weld again.

The Helix CLT auto-darkening filter has advanced features like SHADETRONIC®, which automatically adjusts the shade level based on the brightness of the arc and True Color, which allows for realistic color perception in light or dark states. It has a built-in rechargeable battery that does not need replacing. The battery is charged through arc light or when manual charging is necessary, a micro USB charging port. It comes complete with micro USB cable, helmet bag and Oprel's 2+1 warranty.

The Helix CLT also comes with Optrel's revolutionary IsoFit® headgear AND integrated hard hat. The IsoFit is the only welding headgear in the world that wraps the entire crown of the head with multiple touch points to provide a custom fit like never before. Independent "three dimensional" size, width and height adjustments ensure all day comfort with a secure hold. The IsoFit integrated hard hat provides impact protection against overhead hazards. The hard hat shell can be removed from the headgear when not in use.

  • SHADETRONIC® - Detection of the arc brightness and fully automated shade level adjustment from 4 to 12. Adjusts automatically to the changing light conditions of the current welding method. A sophisticated SHADETRONIC® sensor continuously measures the light intensity of the welding arc and regulates the glare protection progressively and fully automatically.
  • TRUE COLOR - A specially developed UV/IR filter allows the realistic color perception typical of Optrel®, bringing color to the welder's world. TRUE COLOR passes more colors of the spectrum through compared to standard "green" spectrum welding lenses.



  • Optrel Re-Charge - With its rechargeable power-pack, changing batteries is no longer necessary. Thanks to the latest solar technology, a rechargeable lithium-polymer battery is recharged either by the welding light or by the ambient light. In addition, the battery can also be charged directly with any USB charger via a micro-USB interface.
  • 5-Point Detection - intelligent sensor control with five sensors. Sophisticated software and clever positioning of four sensors at the corners and one sensor in the upper center ensures the lens is switched on and off perfectly, even in the most difficult lighting conditions or in awkward positions.
  • IsoFit® Headgear with Integrated Hard Hat sets a new standard of wearing comfort. It is the only product worldwide that can be adjusted in width, length and height i.e. three-dimensionally to any head shape, so that the helmet really fits "like a glove." Hard hat shell can be removed when not in use.

      this helmet is so good it makes me angry

      I have owned a Miller T94 helmet for 6 years, and I bought it thinking it was one of the best on the market. But, the flip up welding lens never stayed in place and always crashed down and frankly startled me many times, so I found this as a replacement.

      And holy f***ing s***. It is so much better. It:

      Is more comfortable

      Has much better field of view

      Has way better clarity, contrast, and color

      Has a flip-up welding lens that stays where you put it

      If you have never had a welding helmet that not only auto darkens, but adjusts HOW dark it gets based on the intensity of the arc, you should try it. Holy s*** this thing is so good.

      I CAN FINALLY SEE WHAT I AM DOING WHILE WELDING.

      Yes its expensive, but save up, wait for it to be on sale, or try to find a used one. they are so good.

      Not all its cracked up to be.

      I have used this welding helmet for 10 months now. 80% of the welding being tig at a table in position. When at the table it functions great, view is outstanding and exactly what you would expect. That's the best part of the helmet, everything else is not so great. Out of position welding on a car is bad, the helmet sensors suck bad and always flash me. Fast pulse has a delay that's bad enough to be a pain in the butt.

      The headgear is nice at first, but after adjusting over and over again, I couldn't find a happy spot honestly. After a hour or so it puts a lot of pressure on the front of my neck, more so then most others. Helmet is heavier then others I have used. The settings are in a horrible spot, hard to reach with the headgear in the way. Battery life on the helmet is really good as I have only charged it a couple times. I liked the clear view / flip down option at first. However after just a few months it started sticking / getting bound on the way down. So bad that it got to the point were I could not flip it with one hand without the helmet moving down badly or hurting my forehead. Attempted to adjust it out, or something with no luck. Good idea, but just a bad design. Not real happy with it for a 600 helmet I expected way way more. Going back to a miller. This is a clean cut case of you are NOT getting what you paid for.
