Washington Alloy® ER5556 Aluminum MIG Welding Wire - 15 lb. Spool TA 5556 24
15 lb. spool - Washington Alloy® ER5556 Aluminum MIG welding wire on a fifteen pound spool is an aluminum alloy that has higher levels of magnesium and zinc than ER5356. As a result, ER5556 provides better crack resistance compared to ER5356. It has good ductility and excellent corrosion resistance, even when exposed to salt water environments. ER5556 is typically used for the MIG welding of 5154, 5254, 5454 and 5456 series aluminum.
The melting temperature is 1065-1175 F, with an average tensile strength of 46,000 psi. It has a white color after anodizing. Washington Alloy ER5556 fifteen pound spools are available in 1/16 inch diameter.
