The price for the lens is reasonable, but when you include shipping the purchase is a little pricey for what you are buying.
ProsThe lens is a correct fit.
ConsThe lenses are very easily scratched and need a new lens more often. Poor design?

    Unnecessary and Overpriced
    July 22, 2015
I am trying to figure out why Kimberly-Clark/Jackson would purposely combine the gasket and the external cover lens into one piece effectively raising the price for absolutely no reason whatsoever. It in no way improves on an already effective design. Anyone that welds knows that it is a waste of material and money to throw away a gasket every time you change the cover lens. I have taken an old 4.5 x 5.25 gasket and use it with 4.5 x 5.25 standard external cover lenses and it works perfectly. Don't even have to trim them.
Cyberweld, by the way, shipped my items very fast. They are a great company to do business with.
    ConsCompletely unnecessary and overpriced.

Fits like it should. Protects your valuable lens from smoke and sparks. Cyberweld had the best price I could find anywhere --- add to that --- Free shipping, no tax + fast, fast delivery = best value for your $.
ProsFits right. Well built and durable. Inexpensive.
ConsMust use factory lens, can't really cut one yourself because of contours and sealing surface. No biggy --- they are cheap to replace.

Bummer to have to need special lenses with the new welding helmets,
but they are a little better.
There is a rubber gasket seal that really helps keep the ADF clean.
My old helmet had a paper gasket and it never quite kept everything out.

    If you get any helmet,
make sure you get a couple in and out lenses they always come in handy.
ProsThe gasket keeps the inside clean
ConsThe raised square makes the lens flush with the outside of the helmet. If you are used to laying your helmet on the lens part, than it gets scratched easily.
