I had the same problem with my inline filter...... The element was slimy and milky ..... What is that, and can I reuse the element after it dries out
1 Answer
Miller indicates that the problem you are encountering is due to the fact the the filter element is not getting the opportunity to dry out. The filter is becoming saturated with water and oil either from the compressor or from an inline oilier in your air system . They feel that possibly you are not draining your compressor on regulator basis or you are using your plasma for long extended periods of time. They recommend draining the water out of your compressor daily and even more often in humid weather .. If you are using your plasma regularly and for extended periods of time that you should install a water separator with a drain in your air line between the compressor and the filter. Once the filter has become saturated as you describe it cannot be cleaned and reused

Solved my problem
August 11, 2014
My Spetrum 375 Plasma Cutter was cycling the air feed on and off and the red air pressure light kept coming on and I could get only 20psi on a 120 psi feed
I replaced this element (which was all slimy with milky fluid (?) and the cutter resumed its normal operations.
