Miller® FILTAIR® Welding Fume Extractor MWX-D 951507

The Miller® FILTAIR® MWX-D Welding Fume Extractor with 7 foot arm is a source capture system with disposable FilTek™ filter for extended filter life, increased efficiency and cleaner air. It is a portable system with locking front caster wheels and large rear wheels that moves seamlessly around your shop. Disposable MERV 15 rated filter traps 95% of all welding fume particulates. The MWX-D's powerful motor and large bell-shaped hood combine to move 875 CFM (cubic feet per minute) of air. The system runs on standard 120V input power.

Features

Cleaner Air - FILTAIR® fume extractors effectively clean welding fumes from the air. Combining nanofiber filter technology, longer lasting airflow, and an optimized design results in a more powerful fume extraction system.

MERV 15 Filter Rating - Filters are rated on a MERV scale, which measures filter efficiency based on particle count. MERV ratings range from 1-16, with 16 being the best at filtering small particles such as those found in weld fumes.

Nanofiber Technology - Nanofibers use an exclusive media blend that features a surface layer of nanofibers about 1000 times thinner in diameter than a human hair.

Durable bell-shaped hood features a convenient 360 degree rotation for unlimited positioning. One of the largest in the industry, FILTAIR�s extraction hood captures weld fumes at a greater distance from the source than other hood designs. This also means less hood adjustments for longer welds.

Filter pressure gauge with easy-to-read color code indicates when pressure drop increases and cartridge filter needs to be replaced.

How many hours should I get out of the filter?

We have discussed your question regarding the filter life of the Miller Fume Extractor FILTAIR MWX-D 951507 with Miller Electric.. They indicated that they do not have a a concrete answer. All environments will produce different life results.. For example if the Filter air is used in a shop where welding and machine work are performed in the same area the filter life will be shorter than a shop that is performing welding only due of the fact that oil that may be in the air from to the machining work. The Miller Fume Extractor FILTAIR MWX-D 951507 has a gauge that monitors the pressure drop across the filter and will indicate when the filter requires service.

Quiet and effective but expensive and larger than u think!

Great unit, works as advertised but its a big unit and really you need the hood light and arc sensor for it to be practical for everyday use in a shop environment. Lost a star for size and high price of the unit and filters. Glad we have it from a safety and workplace quality standpoint, wish I got one years ago.

Quiet Great suction Effective Long cord Large footprint Expensive unit and filters Needs arc sensor and light accessory $500 to be truly daily use ready.
