Wow, it's quiet

We recently picked this unit up to act as a source capture for some mechanized FCAW we are performing in a confined space. In our shop mock up of the weld system we set up this fume extractor to verify it was going to work for our application, this first thought when we turned it on was just how quiet this little guy is! It's no louder than a small shop vac, maybe quieter. As for how much pull it has, we ran it through the 17' hose and the magnetic nozzle, you need to have it within about 6" of the nozzle for best results, but it successfully captured a majority of the weld fume. The flow does not seem to be strong enough to disturb shielding gas, at least not in the configuration we were using. Hopefully it can withstand the true test of 48 hours continuous welding!
Small unit can fit nearly anywhere, works pretty good for it's size, quiet
The wheels are useless (at least to us) we removed them and plugged the holes with rubber, then glued a piece of rubber to the bottom to act as a non-skid mat.
