The MIG nozzle that you get standard with the M-25 gun is a flush, 1/2 opening nozzle. It is the most common nozzle for most MIG applications. Other nozzle configurations depend on your welding wire and application. Short-circuit transfer (the most common MIG welding process) will use a flush nozzle (contact tip and end of nozzle are flush) or a recessed nozzle (contact tip sticks out from end of nozzle). Most fluxed-cored and MIG spray transfer processes will use a recessed tip nozzle (contact tip is recessed inside end of nozzle) to achieve the proper "stick-out" for your welding wire or process.
Tapered MIG nozzles are used when welding in tight spaces or for corner welds.
