These are great to have around since they're a good price, but the polycarb scratches much more easily than the CR39 ones. I've gone through about 10 of these so far, and I've been helping them last a little longer by cleaning them with lemon pledge. They are also a little bit thinner, so they can help fit a thick lens into a hood. They do have film on both sides of the lens so that it can be scratched before you use it, and it is pretty easy to get out of the packaging.
