19 Stick Tube - Harris® NIC-L-WELD 59 stick welding electrode is an AWS classification ENiFeCl nickel-iron welding alloy. NIC-L-WELD 59 is a general purpose electrode for the fabrication, maintenance and repair all types of cast iron. It may be used for building up, joining and filling of gray and alloyed cast iron and is excellent for welding pump housings, valves and castings. NIC-L-WELD 59 features good color match and machine-ability. It operates on both AC and DC welding current, reverse polarity.
NOTE: 3/32" diameter has 19 electrodes per tube. 1/8" diameter has 11 electrodes per tube.Features:

Procedure:
Use AC or DC reverse polarity
Vee out cracks
Preheat heavy castings to approximately 400 F for best results
Direct the arc upon deposited metal with the electrode at a slight angle in the direction of travel
Lightly peen between passes and use a skip or back-step welding technique. Allow casting to cool slowly
