Hobart® ER70S-6 .035 MIG Welding Wire - 10# Spool H305408-R22

10 lb. Spool - Hobart® ER70S-6 .035 diameter MIG Welding Wire is a general purpose solid welding wire for fabrication of mild steel. It contains more deoxidizers than ER70S-3. The additional deoxidizers also provide better wetting, giving a flatter bead shape and the capability of faster travel speeds. Usually used with 75/25 (argon/CO2) shielding gas or with higher contents of argon, such as 90/10. Can also be used with 100% CO2. Conforms to AWS A5.18 ER70S-6.

      Ordered it for my brand new miller multimatic

      The Roll fits fine, haven't sparked up an arc with it yet so time will tell how it does I suppose. I have no idea how long a 10# spool will last since i'm new to mig operation.

      My critique if I had one, the reason for the 4 stars:

      The material the reel is made of is very delicate! It should not be used on reels with weight beyond a few pounds.

      The fedex driver dropped it on my doorstep, it sounded very loud as if the driver was an NFL player spiking the football on the goal line.

      I could hear the noise all the way in the back of my house, i had wondered if maybe the wind had blown part of the fence on my property down.

      I lucked out, when I opened it, the reel integrity was still 95 percent. Only part of the edge on one side was smashed. It would still spool out OK on the machine.

      I've dealt with rope and cable reels of all kinds most of my life, this is the most flimsy one i've encountered in a while. I could break parts of this with my fingers if I tried.
