Genuine Hobart® PRO 16 auto darkening welding helmet features 16.32 square inches of viewing area, PureColor™ PRO lens technology, external grind control and a perfect 1/1/1/1 optical rating. Improved PureColor PRO provides a bright, natural color view of the workpiece in both light and dark states. When compared with older "green" tinted lenses, the PureColor PRO lens passes through a more accurate and a more complete color spectrum, for a better welding experience. The PRO 16 lens has four arc sensors and functions in fully automatic or manual weld, cut and grind modes. It is rated for low DC TIG welding down to 2 amps. Switching speed is an impressive 1/25,000 of a second.
The Hobart PRO 16 auto darkening welding hood operates in both auto and manual welding modes. In auto mode, the PRO 16 automatically adjusts the lens shade between shade 7 and 13, depending on the welding arc. When set in manual mode, shade 9-13 weld mode, shade 5-9 cut mode and shade 3 grind mode are set by the user. There is also a convenient external grind control button to quickly switch between modes without removing your hood. The PRO 16 comes complete with Hobart's 5-point PRO ergonomic ratchet headgear and weighs 22.1 ounces. The lens' digital controls include shade, sensitivity, delay and auto/manual mode (weld, cut, grind). It also has a low battery indicator and a three-year lens warranty.
