Jackson® 40 Mesh Steel Wire Face Shield 29081

The Jackson® 40 Mesh Steel bound wire face shield is made of .016 thick steel wire mesh for protection against flying debris in high heat applications. The face shield measures 9 inches high X 15.5 inches wide and is compatible with Jackson® 170-SB, 131-B and K-10 headgear (along with other major brands of headgear). It meets the performance standards of ANSI Z87.1 and is CSA Z94.3 compliant (when used with compatible Jackson Safety headgear).

      Works great, but has design flaws

      Overall the face shield works great and is heavy duty, but I have had one previously and overtime, the metal strip on the outside begins to buckle and eventually breaks. The corner pieces where it attaches to the helmet overtime will break too. This is normal wear and tear but if it were plastic or maybe stronger metal this can be avoided
