Jackson Translight+ 555 Auto-Darkening Welding Helmet 46250

I have been a welder for 10 years and the reason I chose Jackson welding helmets. Is because of the Bh3 balder welding helmet. I knew it was a good welding helmet. When back in 2014 Jody from welding tips and tricks and ChuckE2009 both had one. Now it’s 2022 and I wanted to buy a new welding helmet. So I looked around and I noticed that Jackson safety had a new welding helmet and it’s called the Translight 555. So I bought one and honestly I have not regretted it. I use this helmet every day while at work or in my garage. From welding to plasma cutting this helmet hasn’t disappointed me. The the arc is always sharp and clear, the color is a mellow blue. Unless you get out of position then it sometimes turns a little green. Switching from welding or cutting to grinding with this helmet is super easy. Just push the button on the side of the helmet, and your ready to go. Just remember to hit it back again or you’ll flash yourself. This is easy to do because there’s no blinking light on the adf to tell you your in grind mode. The adf does flash black when you leave grind mode which does help. As for the adjuster knob on the side that fine tunes the shade. I never really use it mostly because I feel like it works fine without it. One cool feature is it keeps all your settings where you last set them. So you just hit one of the inside buttons and you can switch from welding, cutting, or grinding pretty easily.
