      its not actually carbon fiber

      I'm a professional welder/ fabricator of 25 years .bought this and a Truesight 2 lens from Cyberweld about a month ago. I wanted a plain black hood with the auto lens in it but they were out of stock. Initially I thought this might actually be carbon fiber because the listed regular price is so high. It was on sale for a large discount so I figured I can't go wrong. I'm glad it was on sale because it is just a graphic on a plastic hood. It does looks real though.

      The hood is great. Very lightweight. The head gear is sturdy, comfortable, and very adjustable.

      This helmet is high quality, durable, and super light. Both the helmet and headgear together only weigh 1.7lbs

      Not made out of Carbon Fiber.

      I need a temporary shield for a job due to my expensive speedglas helmet needing repair so I bought this one thinking the carbon would help to insulate from the radiant heat of my welding as well as be light.

      Come to find out it is just the regular plastic halo x helmet with carbon fiber weave painted onto it. If the description were to of explain this well enough to understand I never would have bought it. Furthermore it is marketed as being a light weight face shield, and it is but it is still just plastic so its fairly floppy and doesnt hold its shape when I pick it up. I need a shield for work tomorrow so I wont be returning it, but I sure wish that I could.
