Miller Legacy Welding Helmet Headgear 290460

Helmet was not a miller but the gear went right in my Eastwood welding helmet no problem and replaced the shoddy gear that it came with from the factory. I am now able to tighten the helmet and keep it from falling off my head. This will be the head gear I use from now on. It is comfortable and works great. The only drawback is that it does not raise as high as the others I have, but it does work and that is key. Easy to adjust to the size of your head.

Quick ship, generally happy with this purchase. This headgear is a vast improvement over the original headgear that came with the helmet. And, I saved a $300+ helmet, with around 10 hours total use for roughly $60 so it was the right purchase from an economics perspective. Having said this, Miller headgear is still poorly designed and my frustration with this poor design - for instance the helmet will not stay up unless I really crank down on the friction screws, will motivate me to look elsewhere for my next purchase. Miller makes the BEST welders in my opinion, but the helmets, especially the headgear, are average at best.
