Plastic shell of the goggles is not supported enough by the soft seal around the face as plastic cuts into or digs into the bridge of your nose . Cost of replacement clear lense is too much. Buy a clear safety shield and cutout your own. I'm trying to make my own custom face mask, so to cover forehead and below. Not enough mounting options on goggle shell. I'll have to make a standoff from mounts for space. I've been welding 42 years boilermaker and everything less than that I bought these for the idea of the tight spaces I am very slender and short so getting in between say pontoon boat there's times where I have to fit between the trailer and the toon. Growing pains for the designers or engineers of this I wish there was some way to give them a device so they understand I doubt they put their head under the hood for extended periods of time.

I already had a traditional auto-darkening helmet and thought that I would give the goggles a try. It was less weight and without a harness to cinch up on your head like the traditional helmets, it was a lot more comfortable to wear. The ability to see your work was enhanced by the silicone skirt around the outside of the goggles which eliminated unwanted background light and reflections. Being able to buy the attachable corrective reading glasses that insert directly into the goggles was a plus too versus wearing reading glasses under a traditional helmet. The traditional helmet still has it's place in the heavy duty stick welding environment but for MIG and TIG welding these goggles are ideal.
