      leather chest protector

      This is the second optrel leather protector I've purchased. the first one was 5 yrs. ago. it was and still is an excellent accessory to my optrel helmet. this new leather protector is an embarrassing dwarf of an accessory, compared to my original. is optrel strapped for cash that they can't make a proper piece of equipment ? they stamped their name on the new protector, like it's some kind of special or excellent piece of equipment. I only bought a new protector because i purchased a new crystal 2.0 helmet, so I could give my old helmet to an apprentice. I'm trying to look for an original protector somewhere, to provide adequate neck protection for the new guy. this new leather piece is really beneath optrel. i'm so very disappointed and frustrated. no wonder the thing sells for a sale price ($38)
