Ok Helmet, Too many Drawbacks at price point.
PROS : • Lens is extremely clear, slight blue tint but no trouble making out small details on work pieces.
• Widest viewing angle and visibility of any welding helmet I've ever tried with how close it sits to the face
• Very light weight but the trade off is that the helmet itself feels very thin and flimsy, when held at the bottom chin point the helmet likes too flop over.
• With how the helmet is shaped around the nose helmet has zero fogging issue so far
CONS : • At $650+ Head gear is garbage, even if it were half the price it would still be trash.
- The side knobs used to adjust tension of the flip up operation just pulls a stud that squeezes the head gear and hood together so every 2-3 times of flipping up the hood it loosens the knob on the right side so the hood slowly falls down under its own weight
- No positive detent to keep the hood up, just an independent adjustable stopper but even when set where the helmet sits practiacally straight up once you tip your head down a little bit the hood falls down and when the knobs are tightened to keep it up at the beginning you have manually close it with your hand/arms.
- Possibly just my head but the headgear even adjusted to its largest settings feels a bit small.
