The Optrel® Swiss Air PAPR (Powered Air Purifying Respirator) filters 99.8% of welding particulates, smoke, aerosols and dust and has a revolutionary half-mask face piece that fits under virtually any welding helmet. The Swiss Air HEPA filter carries a TH3 rating, which means you are getting the highest class of protection in a PAPR system. The blower unit itself weighs less than 1.25 pounds and comes complete with lithium ion battery that provides up to 14 hours of operation between charges.
The Swiss Air blower provides fresh, clean air delivered to the nose and mouth area through a unique half-mask face piece. The half-mask is made of lightweight, fire-resistant materials and has two silicon exhalation valves. Operator fatigue is reduced by inhaling clean supplied air versus requiring your lungs to pull air through the filter media of standard half-mask respirators. The positive air pressure created by the Swiss Air blower prevents welding fumes and other airborne contaminants from getting under the welding hood. It also reduces the temperature inside the welding helmet and eliminates fog ups.
Certified to the highest level of respiratory protection in its class, TH3 (HEPA), the Swiss Air PAPR filters and removes 99.8% of harmful solid and liquid airborne particles to deliver clean, filtered breathing air. Compared to the best in class filter mask (class FFP3), this increases the safety of the user by a factor of ten or even by a factor of 40 when using FFP2 masks; all with no fit test required.
Complete system comes with shoulder harness, Swiss Air blower motor with hose, TH3 HEPA filter, spark arrestor, half-mask, harness, battery charger, charging cable, backpack and user instructions.
