Weiler® Tiger Saber Tooth Trimmable Ceramic Flap Disc - 4 1/2" Type 29 7/8 Arbor 40 Grit 50117

Genuine Weiler® Tiger Saber Tooth Trimmable Ceramic Type 29, 40 grit conical flap disc with 7/8 arbor is designed for use on steel and stainless steel fillet welds, T-joints and other hard-to-reach places. The Tiger Ceramic's crystalline structure contains millions of fracture points that self-sharpen at a faster rate than other grains. This results in a high material removal rate, cool grinding and reduced friction at less pressure, which reduces operator fatigue and labor costs. The wheel's top coat prevents heat discoloration of stainless steel parts and loading on soft alloys, like aluminum.

The trimmable composite backing allows the operator to increase flap overhang, which increases the wheel's life and adds versatility to adjust to hard to reach areas like fillet welds and irregular shapes. The flaps wrap around the backing plate to optimize flap to metal contact and provide exceptional feel and control while grinding.

The max performance Tiger Saber Tooth ceramic flap disc provides aggressive stock removal on flat surfaces with a grinding angle between 15 and 35 degrees. The 40 grit abrasive grain is ideal for edge beveling, chamfering, weld grinding, and blending with a right angle grinder. The Tiger Ceramic Trim #50117 flap disc offers a 7/8" open or plain arbor for a cost-effective mounting option when using adapting nuts.

Features
  • Reduces labor costs by providing fast stock removal with maximum disc life
  • Fast cutting action on steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other hard-to-grind metals (tool steel, Inconel™, high nickel alloy, titanium and armored steel)
  • Top coated for cool grinding, protecting high-value parts from heat discoloration
  • Prevents loading on soft alloys like aluminum
  • Conical disc shape maximizes surface contact for aggressive stock removal on flat surfaces
  • Ceramic alumina grains are self-sharpening micro-fracturing crystals that expose sharp edges, maintaining a high cut-rate for the life of the grain
  • Trimmable backing plate allows the operator to increase flap overhang to adjust for hard to reach areas
  • Composite backing will not mark the work piece
  • 7/8" open or plain arbor offers a cost-effective mounting option when using adapting nuts
  • Max RPM 13,000
