Smith® Gas Axe™ Cutting Torch - Extra Heavy Duty SC929

The Smith® Gas Axe™ extra heavy duty cutting torch, 21 inch length, is ideal for foundry, scrap and demolition operations. The Smith® Gas Axe™ has a cutting capacity of up to 24 inch steel and is built tough. The heavy wall manganese bronze head is extremely durable and will resist heat warping. The reversible cutting lever allows operator to choose from top lever or bottom lever mounting position. The torch features three tube construction and ease-on oxygen for smooth starts.

The Smith Gas Axe Cutting Torch - Extra Heavy Duty SC929 can be run on off of liquid oxygen and propane However your will need to use a propane tip and your hoses must be grade "T" type

I want to get this torch but I also need some accessories. Cutting tips for up to 2" I need a welding tip for 1/4 expanded metal to 1 1/2" tube steel. I would also like 40 or 50' hoses and gauges for oxy acetylene cylinders. Do you sell cylinders? Thanks, Joseph Jolly joecabinet@yahoo.com

Smith cutting tips sizes SC12-0 thru SC12-3 will give you a cutting range up to 2 inches when using theSmith Gas Axe Cutting Torch - Extra Heavy Duty SC929..If you need a tip with a heavy preheat use the Smith SC56 series tips sizes 0 thru 3.. We have Smith regulators for use with this torch ..The Smith 40 series heavy duty regulators would be a good choice .. We have oxy/acetylene grade T welding hose in 50 ft lengths.. The Smith Gas Axe is a cutting torch only ..There are no welding tips available for it

I don't see any specs regarding back flash arestors. Can you advise. And will it cut 1/4 inch and up to the 24 inches as specified. Please advise. We are using propane.

You can use the Smith Flashback Arrestor, part number H743, with the Smith Gas Axe Cutting Torch. This will work only if you are using tips up to size 5. Tips ranging from 6-9 require high capacity Oxygen Flashback Arrestors which are not listed on our website. Smith recommends Ibeda Brand, part numbers 0701-3021 and 0701-3022.

Body is very easy to use with gloves, cutting oxygen lever has a lot of travel and is nice and sensitive.

Solid Lots of travel on cutting ox lever Body / head not nickel plated like smith's other torches with the same body style

this torch is every thing you say and more. couldnt find a better deal

standard cutting tips, and ease of use not a great crome job on the ox lever.
