Smith® Little Torch™ 23-1015P Propane Caddy is a handy self-contained jeweler's torch oufit. This highly portable torch kit come complete with everything you need for your precision soldering or brazing operations. Smith® Little Torch™ Propane Caddy includes tanks, regulators, safety check valves, five tips, torch, twin hose and carrying stand. Propane and Oxygen cylinders can be refilled at most welding supply stores (cylinders are shipped EMPTY). Kit weighs less than 32 lbs.

Smith® Equipment's Little Torch™ welds an unlimited range of materials, brazes and solders the tiniest elements with ease, yet produces enough heat to braze steel up to 1/8" thick.

Can this kit be purchased without the Little Torch & hoses, i.e., I just need the tanks, caddy, and regulators?

Smith does not make a kit with only the tanks, caddy, and regulators but they can be purchased separately. Although, the cost of the items individually comes out to $539.37 so it would make more sense to purchase the package and get the additional torch, hoses and tips. The oxygen cylinder that comes with the Smith Little Torch Propane Caddy Jeweler's Torch Outfit 23-1015P is a standard 20 cu ft type.. Most industrial gas distributors/ welding supply companies should be able to either fill or swap out you cylinder for a full one... In some cases they may not be able to fill your cylinder while you wait but here should be not physical reason why this cylinder cannot be filled..

The H753 flash arrestors are correct for the Smith Little Torch Propane Caddy Jeweler's Torch Outfit 23-1015P ..This kit also includes a set of check valves.. If you are going to install the H753 flash arrestors you will not need to install the check valves since the flash arrestors have built in check valves

I am a custom jewelry forger and solder daily. This torch is delightful to use and provides numerous tip sizes for various techniques. The fuel and gas can both be adjusted to provide a hot fire of very gentle one. I ordered the Propane regulator. I recommend purchasing the flash back connection for safety and peace of mind, along with the desktop torch tip holder with a magnetic face. This holder easily holds the working torch tip on a tabletop when removing and removing it with one hand. The holder also stores the assorted extra tips safely.

I highly recommend this product.

ProsGas and Air adjust quickly to provide various flame lengths and heat. Lightweight hand piece. I recommend the Little Torch magnetic holder to reduce working time at the bench.

Smith's Little Torch is a Silversmithing Gem!

I finally took the plunge and purchased a Smith Little Torch oxygen/propane setup to replace a couple hand-held butane torches with something that would work for a wide variety of silversmithing applications and boy am I glad I did. With the new versatility, I'm now able to create intricate pieces of silver jewelry instead of just melting metal. Using the butane torches for silversmithing was like trying to do surgery with a dull knife while wearing boxing gloves and the Smith Little Torch setup is like doing surgery with a razor sharp scalpel while wearing proper surgical gloves. As you should be able to gather, I'm very pleased with my purchase and the product.

I was looking for this set up with the Smith Little torch and tips. I just thought the propane tank and Oxy tank would be a little larger. I've been using Oxy/Acet. for the past 30 years and decided to go into a cleaner gas (i.e.: propane). I don't use a lot of gas so this may be just fine. I do a lot of fabrication of sterling and gold as well as torch enameling and this should do very well.

A beginner in silversmith. In class I started with a large torch with a big flame, the Smith Little is quite, small, but mighty. It has done a marvelous job soldering from the very smallest just ring up to larger items like earrings, rings and necklaces. Very pleased with my purchase.

We bought this Jeweler's Torch as a birthday gift for our daughter who is glass bead and metal artist. She reluctantly gave us the ordering information because she did not want us to spend this much on her. I ordered on Wednesday or Thursday and it arrived here in North Alabama on Saturday in time for her birthday on Monday. Her husband created a wonderful studio in the 2nd story of their home with a large ventilation system and a large propane tank plumbed in from outside their garage. She is excited with the torch and will be able to take it to her annual bead camps. Her husband is an engineer and is looking forward to being able to use it too. They are both pleased with the quality of the product.
