since 1996

I saw this torch introduced at the ASHRAE show in Philadelphia in 1996. The day my boss announced to me that I was the new senior serviceman and by the way, I had a TXV to braze in next week, I told them to get this torch. They had to special order it. Since then I have bought 5 or 6. I had my own gig and this is the torch I suggested. One of my young techs found Cyberweld back then and the prices are the best. I have trouble locating new tips and I finally wore out one torch and the kevlar tube blew apart and caught the hem of my jeans on fire, but I knew I needed to replace it and just didn't have the money at the time. Kind of funny actually. No real damage, not a confined space or anything. I love that you can get extensions and braze down inside units a foot or more away. Finally, I say to everyone, safety first, which means wearing uv eye protection. Buy prescription polarized lenses if you have to. Whatever it takes. We only get one body for this life, and who knows what we will get in heaven, hopefully not this worn out thing.
maneuverability, precision, custom work, thin light hoses you control instead of them controlling you
The kit comes only with basic tips, learning curve from a traditional torch, getting used to cyberweld pricing makes buying anywhere else hard, availability of parts for this torch -not good except on line.
